K3MART is the largest Korean-themed retail company in Indonesia. In this project, my team and I created a software-based POS project using Electron JS that can run offline from scratch to replace K3MART's legacy website-based POS system.

The challenge

The main challenge I faced was the limited time and knowledge when I first joined the project. I started in January, and our team was required to release the software by the end of April to early May. On top of that, the core technologies used—Electron JS and ElectricSQL—were relatively new to me, which made the learning curve steeper while still having to meet strict deadlines.

My solution

To overcome these challenges, I quickly adapted by learning the fundamentals of Electron JS and ElectricSQL while simultaneously contributing to the project’s development. I focused on building the frontend architecture and ensuring that the POS system could function smoothly in both online and offline modes. Collaboration played a key role, I worked closely with my teammates to divide responsibilities, share knowledge, and solve technical blockers efficiently. By applying agile practices and continuously testing our work, we were able to deliver a stable and user-friendly POS application within the limited timeframe.

Sometimes I wonder if I’ve changed overnight. When I wake up, I ask myself: “Am I still the same as yesterday?” Each day feels a little different, a little new. And if I’m not exactly the same—then who am I becoming?
